On the behalf of the organizers I am pleased to invite you to the forthcoming International Sandy Beaches Symposium (ISBS), which will be hosted by Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture – Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (IMBBC-HCMR), Gournes – Hersonissos (Crete), Greece, 25-29 May 2018. The event is co-organized by Costa Nostrum along with the scientific board, establishing a much needed connection between science and beach stakeholders.

Between 20 & 22 November 2017 the 7th National Conference on Management and Improvement of Coastal Zones of the National Technical University of Athens was organized at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens.

Following a highly successful presentation made to the members of the Prototype by TEE Committee on 20 November 2017 by Costa Nostrum’s founder and CEO Vasilis Zisimopoulos, Costa Nostrum, has chosen to be one of the groups – companies which will participate at it specific program of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

On October 28 & 29, the 2nd Smart Blue City International Conference was held in Heraklion. Τhe founder of Costa Nostrum, Vasilis Zisimopoulos, was participated in the conference with a presentation and the conference program can be found here.

Between 13 and 16 October 2017, the exhibition for the alternative tourism – Nostos 2017 was successfully organized and held in Nafpaktos Greece.

Costa Nostrum as the certification body for the innovative Certification Protocol for the Sustainable Development and Management of Mediterranean Beaches Costa Nostrum – Sustainable Beaches, after the latest developments regarding the withdrawal of the Voulisma beach (Municipality of Agios Nikolaos) from the Blue Flag program and in accordance with the procedures of the Protocol, is obliged to reduce by three points the total score of the certified Costa Nostrum Sustainable Beach, Voulisma and with code GRCR201603.
