After the end of the meeting of the Environment Committee a press release was issued stating specifically that: “In addition there was a presentation to the Environment committee by the Consultant Mechanical Engineer Mr. Zissimopoulos, of a proposed innovative certification standard for sustainable management and development of beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, Costa Nostrum®, in order to inform the committee and the Municipalities, for that standard, and to support the institutionalization effort by the competent institutions and the implementation of the standard by the interested municipalities”.
