The official ceremony of raising the flag of Costa Nostrum was attended by the founder and CEO of Costa Nostrum, Mr. Vassilis Zisimopoulos, the President of the Municipal Company which is operating the beaches “MAEDIM”, Mr. Ioannis Maris, as well as executives of the local community.
The Municipality of Malevizi, realizing the ever-increasing global trend for the search for sustainable tourist destinations by international tourism organizations and visitors to our country, proceeded to the certification, promotion, and global promotion of Agia Pelagia beach as a sustainable beach, according to the private certification protocol Costa Nostrum – Sustainable Beaches.
MAEDYM’s wish is also the upgrade, certification, and global promotion of the rest of the beaches of the Municipality of Malevizi.
Undoubtedly, today’s ceremony of the promotion of Agias Pelagias’ beach is a prime example of the tourism policy of the management authorities of each beach, but also of the coastal communities throughout the Mediterranean and the European Union.
